Printer produces blank pages or streaks

Ink, toner, nozzles or print settings may be involved.

For paper jams, open only user-accessible panels described in the manual. Allow hot parts to cool; use no tools or force. Do not delete other people’s jobs on shared printers.

Check ink or toner levels and printer warnings. After replacing a cartridge, remove only the protective strips specified in its instructions.
Print an internal test page from the printer menu. If it is faulty too, the printer is more likely responsible than the document.
On inkjet printers, use the nozzle check first and only the recommended cleaning cycle in the maintenance menu. Repeated cleaning uses a lot of ink.
If the fault remains, keep the model and test page for support. Do not use solvents or touch a laser drum or hot components.
