Repeater or mesh will not connect

Distance, pairing or model compatibility may prevent a connection.

Do not factory-reset a router speculatively or indiscriminately disable Wi-Fi security or a firewall. Get permission before changing someone else’s network.

Check the manual for router compatibility and the required pairing method.
Move the repeater closer to the router for setup and allow it to finish starting.
Pair it according to the manufacturer instructions. Use WPS only briefly on your own router with permission; do not accidentally press Reset.
Once paired, place it partway to the weak area where the signal is still good. If it remains unstable, record the model and light status for support.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
