Wi-Fi network not listed

Wi-Fi may be disabled, out of range or using an unsupported band.

Do not factory-reset a router speculatively or indiscriminately disable Wi-Fi security or a firewall. Get permission before changing someone else’s network.

On the device, turn airplane mode off and Wi-Fi on. Move closer to the router.
Can a second device see the network? If none can, check the router Wi-Fi light and schedule using its manual.
Older devices often support only 2.4 GHz. Ask the connection owner whether a compatible wireless band is enabled.
Restart the affected device. Obtain PC Wi-Fi drivers from the PC or adapter manufacturer for the exact model; avoid third-party driver updaters.
