💻 Windows commands – simply explained

You can run these commands in the Command Prompt (or PowerShell). One click on “Copy” is enough – then paste it into the command prompt (right click).

💡 To open the command prompt: Press the Windows key, type "cmd" and press Enter. For some commands you need administrator rights: Right click on "Command Prompt" → "Run as administrator".
Read first, then execute: “cmd” means command prompt, “PowerShell” means Windows PowerShell. Search for the respective program in the start menu. Only open “Run as administrator” by right-clicking if it is marked “Administrator”. Execute commands one at a time and wait for the result. Copying doesn't do anything. Do not publicly share diagnostic output with names, network addresses, or serial numbers.
