Monitor picture is blurry or too large

Resolution, scaling or a TV picture format may be set incorrectly.

Stop if there is smoke, a burning smell or severe graphics corruption under load. Avoid speculative stress tests, overclocking or power-supply work.

Open Settings → System → Display and select the affected screen if several are connected.
Start with the settings marked Recommended for display resolution and scaling. Change one value at a time and check the result.
If the screen becomes unreadable after a resolution change, wait for the automatic rollback rather than confirming blindly. For a TV used as a monitor, check picture-format settings in its manual.
Prefer a direct digital connection without unnecessary adapters. Do not use custom resolutions or refresh rates unsupported by the device.
