Printer reports a paper jam

Paper may be stuck in the feed or output area; a sensor may also be involved.

For paper jams, open only user-accessible panels described in the manual. Allow hot parts to cool; use no tools or force. Do not delete other people’s jobs on shared printers.

Cancel the print job. Check the display and manual for the correct access panel on your model.
Switch the printer off as instructed by its maker. Allow hot laser-printer parts to cool; do not reach into the fuser.
Remove accessible paper only as described in the manual, slowly and without force. Do not insert tools or open panels not intended for user access.
Load undamaged, suitable paper without exceeding the fill mark. Contact service if the message remains or the paper cannot be safely reached.
