0xA00F4244 – No camera found

The Windows Camera app does not detect a usable camera.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Check the camera cover, camera button on the laptop and, for USB cameras, the cable.
Open Settings → Privacy and security → Camera (Windows 10: Privacy → Camera) and check access.
Try the “Camera not working” guide. If no camera device appears in the device manager, use the manufacturer's help.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
