Code 52 – Driver signature cannot be verified

Windows cannot confirm the digital signature of a required driver.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Do not use the device for important data until this is clarified. Note the manufacturer and model.
Download a current signed driver only from the manufacturer or via Windows Update.
Do not disable signature verification and secure boot to bypass the error. For older devices, ask about Windows compatibility.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
