0x80131500 – General Exception - Check Context

This general exception code alone is not a diagnosis. It can appear in store apps or .NET applications, among other things.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Write down the program name, complete message text and time.
If the Microsoft Store is affected: Check internet and time, update store and if necessary run wsreset.exe using the command overview.
For another application, use its official repair function. Do not activate or remove .NET components without a diagnosis.
