Website access and hosting by Netlify
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA) and delivered through its content delivery network. Requests involve processing your IP address, request time, requested address/file, browser information, referring page where transmitted, and technical status and transfer data. This is necessary to deliver the page, investigate errors and protect against attacks or abuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is a secure and reliably accessible information service. Delivery is not possible without the necessary connection data.
Hosting: recipients, retention and transfers
Recipients include Netlify and subprocessors involved in hosting and security. Technical data are processed for delivery and as necessary for troubleshooting and security. Log retention depends on the relevant operational or security purpose, including investigating and resolving errors or abuse, and applicable legal obligations. No separate visitor database is maintained by the operator. Under Netlify’s contractual model, its Data Processing Agreement (DPA) forms part of the hosting terms. Processing may take place outside the EU/EEA, particularly in the USA. Netlify’s DPA specifies the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for covered transfers and EU Standard Contractual Clauses as its designated fallback mechanism. Details and safeguards are explained in the linked DPA; you may also request information from the controller. See also Netlify’s privacy statement.
Domain and external links
The domain fixdeinenpc.de is registered through netcup; netcup is not this website’s host. DNS requests resolve the domain name. The resolvers involved also depend on your internet connection and browser settings. External websites are not automatically embedded. If you open an external link, that provider processes the request under its own responsibility.
Search, diagnosis and support notes
Error search, guide selection and the diagnostic helper run in your browser. The website does not inspect your PC. These functions do not transmit entered search terms or notes to me or a server. Unsaved notes are held in the open page’s memory. Downloading saves a text file on your device; you must delete downloaded files yourself. Do not enter passwords, product keys, recovery keys or particularly sensitive information.
Local storage and language switching
Only if you enable the option to remember notes in this browser are the four note fields saved in Local Storage under pc-hilfe-notizen-v1. They remain until you disable saving, delete them through the website or remove the website’s data in your browser. When you explicitly switch language, notes, the saving preference and text size are briefly transferred through this tab’s Session Storage. The destination page removes the record after reading it; records older than five minutes are not restored. If you do not open the destination page, the record may remain until it is read later or the browser session ends. This storage provides the saving or switching function you explicitly request (section 25(2)(2) of the German TDDDG), not advertising or audience measurement. If transfer is blocked and notes are present, a warning appears before switching.
Contact by email or phone
If you contact me, I process the contact details, message and attachments you provide to handle your enquiry. General enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is answering your request. Providing details is voluntary; without a way to contact you, I may be unable to reply. I use k.kvasas@yahoo.com. The European consumer service provider is Yahoo International Limited, The EXO Building, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, D01 W5Y2, Ireland. Yahoo and the email providers involved process message content and technical communications data. Yahoo describes its own responsibilities and international processing, including in the USA; it identifies adequacy decisions and Standard Contractual Clauses as safeguards. Details, including how to request information about safeguards, are in Yahoo’s privacy policy. Clicking an email link does not send a message: sending takes place through your email application or service. Please do not send credentials or sensitive documents. Ordinary email is not necessarily end-to-end encrypted.
Retention of enquiries
Enquiries are retained while needed to deal with the matter and related follow-up questions. They are then deleted unless statutory retention duties or the necessary establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require further retention. Statutory retention is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR; necessary protection of legal claims is based on Article 6(1)(f). Deletion by the email provider also depends on its technical deletion and backup procedures.
Advertising and other services
Google AdSense is not currently integrated. This website contains no advertising or analytics scripts, contact form or newsletter. Fonts and libraries are not loaded from external providers. Browser storage is not used for advertising. Any future service requiring consent must be accompanied by appropriate information and effective consent controls before activation. An advertising cookie banner is therefore not displayed without such services.
Your rights and withdrawal
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time for the future without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Contact the controller using the details above. You can delete locally stored notes through the website or your browser settings.
Right to object under Article 21 GDPR
Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Processing will stop unless compelling legitimate grounds or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims justify continuing. You may object to processing for direct marketing at any time; this website does not currently conduct direct marketing.
Complaints and automated decisions
You may complain to a supervisory authority, particularly in the country of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement. For the operator in Osthofen, one contact is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Rhineland-Palatinate. This website does not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects under Article 22 GDPR. The diagnostic helper only selects general technical guidance.
