PIN unavailable – Windows Hello login fails

PIN login is not available. The account password is not the same as the device PIN.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

On the login screen, click “Login Options” and use an alternative method that has already been set up, such as the account password.
If offered, select “I forgot my PIN” and follow the identity verification process via your own account.
If it is not possible to log in, use official account recovery or the company IT. Do not delete TPM or manually remove login folders.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
