Code 24 – Device not present or set up incompletely

The device may be missing, not working properly, or have incomplete drivers.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Check the cable, power supply and whether the device is actually connected.
Restart Windows and check the device status again.
If the error persists, only install the driver for the exact device model from the manufacturer.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
