Code 22 – Device is deactivated

The device has been disabled in Device Manager.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Right click on Start → Device Manager. Find the clearly affected device.
Right click → Activate device if offered and the device was not intentionally deactivated by IT.
Test the function again. Clarify unknown devices or devices that have been deactivated for security reasons with IT beforehand.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
