0x800700DF – File exceeds an allowed size limit

The destination or the transfer service used does not allow this file size.

Stop using a drive with unusual noises, read errors or data loss. Do not format, initialise or repair speculatively; seek qualified recovery advice.

Right-click → Properties to check the size of the file and the free space at the destination.
Check the size limits of the cloud or network service. For a USB drive, also look at the file system; FAT32 does not allow individual files larger than 4 GiB.
Use a suitable alternative destination or the service's official upload method. Do not format drives without a full backup.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
