0x80040154 – Class not registered

A required software component is not registered correctly or does not exist.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Write down which program and which action triggers the message.
Use Settings → Apps → affected app → Repair if available. Alternatively, use the official installation wizard with repair option.
Do not load individual DLL files from download portals and do not try any regsvr32 commands. Back up app data before reinstalling.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
