0x80070002 – File not found

An update or program cannot find a file.

Stop if unsure or if a new warning appears. Save your work before changes and ask IT before changing a work device. Never disclose passwords or recovery keys.

Restart Windows and try again.
Check whether there is enough space on C:.
Open Settings -> Windows Update -> check for updates.
Error occurs again? Note down KB number.

Test after each step and stop when the issue is solved. Checkmarks are not permanently saved.
